7.6 GoodBased on 1,486 verified guest reviews 7.7Families 7.4Solo 7.3Friends 7.7Couples Pros + Cons - Time of Year: Mar-MayJun-AugSep-NovDec-Feb Sort by: So I paid extra money for a corner king size room. The staff took about an hour to check me in because they couldn’t find my reservation, then asked me to pay for the whole six night stay again which I had already purchased. I get a room which is super small it smelled like dog pee with sweat and was super tiny also not a CORNER. After that they gave me another room also NOT A CORNER, with a queen sized bed and the shower had no door the curtain was super short so the water traveled all the way to the toilet. It was a pain never going to a Hilton again. Paid extra to get a room I didn’t want. Cons:The website LIES about having parking. We specifically chose this hotel because they said they had parking, which is unusual in times square. We circled the hotel for half an hour trying to find the entrance to their garage, while stuck on hold with the front desk (which never picked up). We finally illegally parked so we could run in and ask the front desk where to park, and they said they don't have on site parking and to find a nearby garage. We would have chosen a different hotel if they'd been honest about not having parking (or at the very least, looked up a garage in advance). Pros:Location and price Cons:Stayed here before, this time room felt more cramped. “Closet” had an ironing board stuffed inside at an angle that made it impossible to hang clothes. Kleenex ran out and not replaced, only had decaf coffee, handle fell off shower water control, bed was uncomfortable Pros:Location and cleanliness Cons:Nothing to not like!!! Pros:Great location! Most of staff tried to be helpful. Cons:Rooms are tiny, no doorman on duty day & night (simply there early evening hours), hotel is so small laundry carts are left out in the halls. Charge extra for room with a view - view is simply a building across the street. Breakfast is full buffet or nothing - no a la carte pastry or fruit. Pros:This is a great hotel for sight seeing in down town New York City. The subway makes getting around the city easy. Cons:We didn't get your room for a couple hours but we were able to leave our luggage and go site seeing. Pros:Very friendly staff very close to Bryant Park and the heart of Times Square. Pros:The location is perfect, and taking into account the the hotel is located a few meters away from Times Square, there was no problem with the noise. The room was perfect but it was small for me. By the way, the employees were awesome. 136 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036
