The last bag bought earlier this year was loaded with stems and other debris. After about half the bag I had to resort to cleaning the debris out before putting it in the feeder to keep from clogging it. It also had a lot of very small seeds, some I would call tiny; and, there were what appear to be weavel holes in a large amount of the seeds. Very disappointed that, and hate that I convinced my sister to buy a bag too.

We were there yesterday and they had none except some you could weigh up. Didn't even check that price and the 40lbs bags which there were none may have been $24.99. We love to feed the birds but getting too expensive.

Not worth it. Last bag I bought was 21.99 and that's where I draw the line. Really sorry because I had a wonderful time feeding the birds but it's just too much!

Will robins eat mealworm feed from a hanging bird feeder?

They prefer to forage for their food in lawns and open areas. Make a mixture of bird seed, sunflower hearts and mealworms, sprinkle it out on a ground feeding tray and wait for the robins to arrive. As they're such fans of mealworms, you can give them an extra helping hand by soaking dried mealworms in water, giving the robins some valuable moisture from the food.
