Unlike films featuring other Avengers, movies starring Spider-Man aren't on Disney Plus. Instead, they're spread across multiple streaming services, and some films are only available to rent or buy individually.

Though Marvel Studios owns the big-screen rights to most of its characters, Sony has held the movie rights to "Spider-Man" since 1999. However, Sony decided to partner with Marvel to bring the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2016.

As part of the deal, Tom Holland's Spider-Man made his debut in "Captain America: Civil War." Sony and Marvel then co-produced "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "Far From Home," and "No Way Home" as joint projects.

Earlier this year, Sony and Disney agreed on a larger deal that will bring Sony's theatrical releases to Disney Plus after an initial streaming run on Netflix. That deal will cover films released between 2022 and 2026, and could allow for older "Spider-Man" films to move to Disney Plus after their Netflix exclusivity ends.

Right now, however, "Spider-Man" movies remain split across streaming services. To make it easy to catch up on each film, we rounded up details on where to watch every "Spider-Man" movie released so far.

Where to watch every 'Spider-Man' movie

Every "Spider-Man" movie is available to stream at home, but only select films are available on subscription services. The remaining titles currently require a one-time rental or purchase fee through a video-on-demand retailer, like Vudu, to watch.

The three classic "Spider-Man" films starring Tobey Maguire are not currently available on any subscription streaming services. To watch them at home, you need to rent or buy each movie from a digital retailer like Vudu and Amazon. You can also currently stream the movie's through the TNT, TBS, or TruTV apps if you have a pay-TV provider with those channels.

The first "Amazing Spider-Man" movie starring Andrew Garfield is also only available to rent or buy. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," however, can be streamed on the FX Now app if you have FX with your cable subscription.

The first two MCU "Spider-Man" films with Tom Holland are currently split between services. You can watch "Spider-Man: Homecoming" on Starz ($9/month). The sequel, "Spider-Man: Far From Home," is currently available to stream on FX Now, but only if you have the FX cable channel through a pay-TV provider.

The latest entry in the franchise, "Spider-Man: No Way Home," became available to stream on March 15, but it's currently only available to buy for $20. Digital rentals of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" are expected to arrive at a later date.

Starz CEO Jeffrey Hirsch recently said "Spider-Man: No Way Home" should also be available on Starz within the next six months. You can subscribe directly to Starz for $9 a month; a current deal offers three months for $5 or six months for $20.

Shang-Chi & the Legend of the Ten Rings must come first, simply because it builds to a climax in early April (probably on April 4, the date of Qingming in 2024). It is then followed by The Falcon & the Winter Soldier, which explicitly dates itself in late April or early May, six months after Thanos' snap was reversed - an event confirmed many times to take place on October 17, 2023. Spider-Man: Far From Home would come next, beginning another two months after the Blip and telling the story of Peter Parker's summer vacation. This part of the MCU viewing order is one of the most clearly-defined, but the very incorrect placement of Shang-Chi is made worse by putting Spider-Man: Far From Home before it. Marvel has made changes to the Disney+ timeline before now, swapping the order of Black Widow and Black Panther, so hopefully they'll eventually put Shang-Chi in the right place too.
