I work in an office environment and it's perfect for keeping my lunch cold and even maintains a good chill for afternoon snacks. I bought some extra ice packs but I haven't needed them. Just the two that comes with the pack is enough. The box has held up well and there's no real signs of wear. The zippers still work great, but I'm not super hard on it either so your experience may vary. Definitely recommend this for an office type environment! It works ok in hot temps but isn't really designed to keep contents super cold in that type of environment. I've used it to keep some beers cold outside but usually thow in my extra ice packs. 04/11/2022 Daniel P. I sometimes have some really long days and wanted a pack that I could trust to keep my lunch and snacks cold all day - this lunch box fits the bill! When it is compact (not the extended for the extra storage) I can put the icepacks in their slots in the lunchbox in the morning and by the time I get home about 9 hours later, the icepacks are still cold, like almost frosty. I think it lasts a little less when its fully extended because there's just more space the two packs have to keep cold, but it is still very impressive. I don't put the lunchbox in the fridge or anything overnight, I only pack in the morning so half the stuff going in it is room temperature and those icepacks are still this good. The ice pack pockets are genius to keep your food and ice separate. The ice packs are amazing. Leftover food comes home from school and 100 degree football practice still cold after 10 hrs. Only thing I don’t love is the pillowy insulation in the food compartment. Seems like you’d gain space by trimming that down and a solid surface would be easier to clean.
