You only need a few simple ingredientsGraham Crackers If you have really young kids and want to introduce them to the recipe process, this jello pie is a great one to start with! Use a ready-made crust insteadI chose to make my own Graham cracker crust, but if you don’t want to deal with that, you can certainly buy a ready-made (6 ounce) graham cracker crumb crust instead. Real homemade whipped cream verses whipped toppingI use Cool Whip in desserts all the time, but if you have an issue with it and want to use homemade real whipped cream, go for it! This pie works with either. For homemade whipped cream you’ll need 1 cup heavy cream or whipping cream and 2 tablespoons powdered sugar. In a mixing bowl, using an electric hand mixer, beat the cream and powdered sugar just until firm peaks are formed. Add in some fresh fruitFold 1 cup chopped or sliced fresh fruit into gelatin mixture before pouring into crust and refrigerating as directed. This No-Bake Jello pie is great for summer parties and potlucks, and especially nice since you don’t need to turn on the oven when it’s triple digits outside! The strawberry or cherry jello would be especially fun for Memorial Day or 4th of July by topping each slice with whipped cream and fresh blueberries for that red, white, and blue look! other no-bake jello recipes you will love!Orange Creamsicle Jello Mold Creamy Strawberry Jello Mold I made all six versions of this no bake jello pie – Cherry, Orange, Lemon, Lime, Berry Blue, and Grape – taste the rainbow! Other NotesCourse: Dessert Cuisine: American Keyword: Jello Pie, No Bake Jello Pie What can I make out of Cool Whip?Between no-bake cakes, icebox cakes, no-bake pies, fluff dessert salads, cupcakes, milkshakes, trifles and mousse, there are so many fantastic recipes that use this cool ingredient. Cool Whip is not just for garnish anymore! It can be used to lighten a dish up, or as the bind that holds it all together.
How do you stabilize Cool Whip?Powdered sugar actually has cornstarch in it, which is why it works as a stabilizer. You can use as little as a tablespoon or two of cornstarch to thicken your Cool Whip, and this is definitely the easiest way to thicken your Cool Whip.
Are whipped cream and Cool Whip the same? The main difference between Cool Whip and whipped cream is that Cool Whip is a combination of light cream, skim milk, high fructose corn syrup and vegetable oil, whereas whipped cream is only made using heavy whipping cream.
Can you freeze whipped jello? But if you are in a hurry, you could stick it in the freezer to make it set up even faster. However, it's not recommended that you freeze jello because it will change the consistency drastically. The flavor stays the same, but it's a strange consistency.
