Wish it helped more with measurements

I downloaded this app because one of the Clorox products I bought said it would help convert measurements for the exact amount of water I have in my pool. Unfortunately, it didn’t really do that well. It does for some of the Clorox products, but it seems like the biggest goal of this app is to sell you Clorox products and not help the consumers who already purchased the products. To get conversations for any product I seem to have to provide test results. I couldn’t find any way to just pick the product I have and see instructions converted for the amount of water I have. I wasn’t interested in this app logging everything for me or providing suggestions. I was hoping buying Clorox products and using this app would help me convert measurements. It would have saved me a ton of time (and I would buy more Clorox products) if the app would show me all of the products for pools, let me pick one and be shown instructions for the amount of water I have in my pool. It would also be useful if the conversations it did provide could be shown in capfuls where applicable. So instead of saying I need .4 pounds tell me to add 10 capfuls or 1 cup or something that would be easier to measure. Maybe an option to show in either weight or capfuls/cups would be great.

Broken

I don’t normally spend the time to write reviews, but this needs to be brought up.
I’ve used this app for a while now, well over a years time. The functionality used to all work, but know when you do a test strip scan, it shows you the proper results initially but if you wish to go back (even a minute later before closing the app) and look at the result again, the display won’t show the proper results due to the fact that the screen is formatted for the “liquid” test. (and not the test strip)
This has been broken for months. I wrote Clorox about it and got the basic response that they know of the issue and will have to fix it in a newer version.
Looking at the version history it somewhat appears they are not really motivated to fix this or any other issues with the App as there have been no version releases for about five month at this juncture.
In addition, I see other reviews stating that the app continues to log them out and thereby have to log back in every time. That is happening to me as well.
I committed to this system (and the purchase of Clorox products as well) as a simple, non frustrating way to maintain my pool. I guess it’s time to look for something else as this app no longer fills the bill for that.

The issue you've described has been corrected in the latest version.

Tedious for absolutely no reason

I bought the test kit, I used the test kit, I tried to press the button to see results of test kit and app insists you to create an “account”. I am confused why I need to create an account for a bleach company, it’s not like I want to receive a weekly bleach newsletter or join a message board about bleach, I just want to know what the results of my test kit THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR are. I try to create a bleach account, turns out I already have a bleach account. I try my bleach password, incorrect bleach password. I click to reset my bleach password, no bleach email. I click again to reset my bleach password, bleach email sends, I reset my bleach password, try to login to my bleach account, INCORRECT BLEACH PASSWORD. Click to reset again. BLEACH ERROR. Why all this trouble for a test kit result? Why can you not just tell me what bleach products I need? I am going to buy more bleach products from you, why would you make it so difficult for me to? Now I’m just going to buy bleach products from somebody else. No wonder the store was overstocked with these test kits. No one wants to have to join a bleach fan club just to know what they need to fix the ph balance of their pool.

Is Clorox bleach OK for pools?

It is important to know what exactly bleach is before you put it in your pool. Household bleach, Clorox and liquid chlorine can all be used to sanitize a pool. They are all types of chlorine. Household bleaches such as Clorox usually contain about 5-6% available chlorine, about half that of pool liquid chlorine.

How long after putting Clorox in pool Can you swim?

Answer: Generally you will want to wait at least 4 hours, but ideal is waiting for one complete turnover of the water (the time it takes all the water to go through the filter).

Swimming pool shock contains 12.5% sodium hypochlorite (bleach) vs. 6-8.5% for Clorox (bleach). Some Clorox products go as high as 8.5%. At a 12.5% concentrate, liquid pool shock is approximately 2x's stronger than Clorox bleach.
