07 Lucerne driver door window

I have a 07 Lucerne. All the switches on the master switch assy on drivers door work except the drivers door window. I removed the door
panel and applied power directly to the window motor and the motor works fine. I purchased a new master switch installed, nothing worked. Picked up a switch assy from a salvage yard installed and the window worked intermittently and the stopped again. I can,t seem to find anyone with info how the window is set up. Does the door switch feed a control module which in turn supplies power to the window motor. What am I missing here? Thanks for any help.

Check the wiring in the rubber boot between the body and the door. Sometimes, over time and opening and closing the door, the wires become broken.

Thanks for the reply Polarzak. That was going to be my first check tomorrow. I was wondering if there was a module somewhere in the circuit. If so, where is it located. For some reason a wiring diagram or circuit description don't seem to exit in the web world. It's like shooting in the dark.

Attached is the window circuit for an 06. It should be the same as an 07.

Thanks for the door wiring diagram Polarzak. I'm hoping the drivers door module is part of the drivers door master switch assy other wise
I haven't found a drivers door module yet.

Why is my driver side window not working?

If the fuse is blown, pushing a window button will do nothing at all: The motor won't groan and the glass won't quiver. If the fuse is good and you can hear the motor, or the glass acts like it wants to move, then you've got some sort of mechanical problem. If not, check the fuse.

Why would only one power window not work?

If only one window stops working, the problem could be a bad relay, fuse issue, bad motor, or the power window switch has failed. The most common reason for one window to stop working is the switch, so this should be looked at by a professional mechanic to have your power window switch replaced.

Does each power window have its own fuse?

There is no separate fuse or relay for each of the power windows. They are all powered by the one circuit breaker and relay.

Is there a fuse for each car window?

Check the fuse Other cars have individual fuses for each window motor so failure will only affect the one window. In some cars the fuse is in the main fusebox but many makers use in-line fuses so check with your manual to find where the fuse is and replace it if blown.
