Does Apple Pay display a different card number?The card details shown on the receipt provided by a merchant will contain the last four digits of your Device Account Number rather than your physical card number. You can find your Device Account Number on the card details screen in your Apple Wallet.
Why has my Apple Pay card number changed?With Apple Pay, your payment card has a unique Device Account Number used to process payments and an expiry date associated with that Device Account Number. If your card expires or you otherwise get a new card: The card number and expiry date linked to the Device Account Number should be updated automatically.
Why is my Apple Card number different?The Apple Card comes with three different credit card numbers: one for your physical card, a virtual card number, and one that's used with Apple Pay. This is a security measure that makes it possible to continue using your Apple Card should your information get stolen.
Which card is default in Apple Pay?The first payment card that you add to the Apple Wallet on a device becomes your default card for that device. When you add more cards, you can change your default card.
