-7.2% Reviewed by AGust82 from Connecticut 2.67/5 rDev -3.6% Despite the similar rating, this beer is far worse than the rest. Think of it as the Natty of american adjunct lagers, as far as panamanian lagers go. Balboa is far superior, despite being rated the same. Reviewed by MrGorday from Panama 3.25/5 rDev +17.3% Clasica cerveza del panameño. Poco alcohol. Lo demas, deduzcalo usted. Prefiero "Soberana". Nov 06, 2014Reviewed by Jax-Gator from Florida 3.47/5 rDev +25.3% Cerveza Panama is the #1 beer in Panama. It is most similar to a light European lager like Heineken light or Amstel Light. The beer pairs perfectly well with hot and humid climates and ceviche. I've had it in Panama and in the U.S. but it loses its personality once its removed from Panama's borders. If you go to Panama, you'll inevitably drink it by the gallon. If you see it stateside, pass it up. Mar 26, 2014Reviewed by PanamaZonian from Georgia 5/5 rDev
+80.5% The lager is so heavenly that the brewery can not get the rights to export. Panama indulges in the art of three other brews. To name Balboa, Atlas, Soberrana, but none holds a shine to the smooth refreshing taste of Panama. Seriouly though! Why don't you see beer from Panama in your package store? Mar 09, 2014Reviewed by schoolboy from Ohio 2.69/5 rDev -2.9% There were three, count em, three good things about this beer. It was cheap (something like 50 or75 cents in a resort area). It was drank while on vacation in Panama. And lastly, I had already bought a couple cool t-shirts from the brewery (so I thought it was important to try the beer). We had finished a tour of Panama City, the Miraflores locks, etc. and we were back near the docks in Limon. There was a seedy little strip of shops (and a Casino, with bathrooms!) and we were in buying mode. We bought some cool stuff - an oil painting, among them - and I had a Balboa beer, but after finding the very cool Panama Cerveza t-shirts, I sought out a can of the beer. Alas, as you would expect, the beer was not memorable for any of it's beer characteristics. It was well made and packaged, but not in any way good. But I will proudly wear the t-shirt! Nov 23, 2013Panama from Cerveceria Del Baru Panama, S.A. Beer rating: 68 out of 100 with 75 ratings What is the most popular beer in Panama?Atlas (Pale Lager, 3.8%) may have been the most popular beer in Panama and although it wasn't awful, we preferred Panama Lager and Balboa more.
What beer is served in Panama? What kinds of alcohol are available in Panama? Panamanian national beers include Balboa, Panama, Soberana, and Atlas. These beers are light and similar to a lager or pilsner. There are usually Mexican and American beers available as well.
What is the alcohol of Panama?Seco is the national liquor of Panama, but you won't find it served in many trendy or upscale bars. The locals more traditionally consume it in rural areas. It is served in a variety of different ways, in original recipes and/or as a substitute for vodka or rum.
