She has been in banking for 38 years since 1984, was a director for Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce, in a Leadership Class V City of South Padre Island, a President for Lopez Riggins Elementary, and a volunteer for various Community & Chamber functions in Port Isabel, South Padre, and Los Fresnos.

When not in the office, she enjoys taking her time in reading, gardening, beachcombing, and spending time with her family and friends.
