I love using fresh fruit in recipes but it can be tricky because the amount needed can be listed in so many different ways.

This includes strawberries one of my favourite fruits to use in recipes.

  • 1 1/4 cups pureed strawberries

Recipes often call for strawberries measured by the cup, but with them being sold by the pound more often now you’ll need to know how many cups are in 1 pound (16 oz) of strawberries.

  • 10 oz package is 1 1/2 cups
  • 600 gm is 4 cups unthawed
  • 1.7 kg is 6.8 cups
