It’s for darker hair and works well for me on both dark brownish black and bleached hair. That was out of stock for a while so I tried this one, Midnight Violet. My scalp was HEAVILY covered with any of the times I've used Splat - it’s taken about a week for me to get my scalp cleaned - but my hair is very fine & thin, so the scalp was pretty saturated. 3) Oh yeah - it will also look like you’re bathing in - well, when I used the blue, I said that it looked like I slaughtered the entire Smurf village in the shower! (Color sticks to plastic interior of shower, too) - & when washing/rinsing hair, the color bleed actually colors the skin on my entire body - quick exfoliating scrub before getting out of the shower. This will happen multiple washes, but lessen each time.
