Krispy kreme free donut vaccine end date

Starting Monday until the end of the year, if you take your vaccination card to any Krispy Kreme location in the US, you can get a free glazed doughnut each day, the company said in a news release.

The card must show one or two shots of any of the Covid-19 vaccines to qualify, and it must be redeemed at a store. You don’t need to buy anything to get your daily free doughnut.

“We all want to get COVID-19 behind us as fast as possible and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer.

However, the company acknowledges that not everyone will get the vaccine.

“We understand that choosing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine is a highly personal decision,” the news release says.

Those who decide not to get the Covid-19 vaccine can still get a free glazed doughnut and a medium coffee on Mondays from March 29 to May 24.

Publix joins a growing list of grocers offering incentives for workers to get vaccinated

The promotions are all part of their “Be Sweet” initiative to inspire joy and kindness.

Krispy Kreme’s vaccine support is not limited to store customers.

The retailer is also offering its employees an incentive to get the vaccine with four hours of paid time off to get vaccinated.

In addition, Krispy Kreme will support health care workers and volunteers who are helping administer vaccines, delivering free doughnuts to select vaccination centers throughout the country in the coming weeks.

Krispy Kreme will soon give out two free doughnuts a day to anyone who can prove they're vaccinated.

Between Monday, August 30, and Sunday, September 5, you can claim one Original Glazed Doughnut and one Original Glazed Heart Doughnut every day at Krispy Kreme stores across the US if you show proof that you've had at least one shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, the company said Wednesday. TRUE?

The company will also sell the heart-shaped doughnut separately, it said.

After the promotion ends on Sunday, vaccinated people will still be able to get one free Original Glazed Doughnut a day until the end of the year, the company said.

"We all hoped we'd be near the end of this pandemic by now. We're not," Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's chief marketing officer, said in a press release.

Coronavirus cases in the US are rising as the Delta variant spreads. Just over a quarter of the adults in the US haven't had a COVID-19 shot yet, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Krispy Kreme started giving out the free doughnuts to vaccinated people in March. The company said it's given away more than 2.5 million so far.

To claim your two free doughnuts, you will just need to go to your nearest Krispy Kreme store and present your vaccination card as proof that you've had at least one shot of the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the company said.

You don't need to buy anything to get your freebie.

States and companies have been getting creative with ways to boost vaccination rates.

Washington State offered free cannabis joints under a "Joints for Jabs" policy, Ohio ran five $1 million lottery draws exclusively for vaccinated residents, and West Virginia is giving $100 saving bonds to young people who get the jab.

Target gave out a $5 coupon to customers who get vaccinated at in-store CVS locations, and Budweiser gave out $5 virtual debit cards so that vaccinated people could get a free beer.

Earlier this week, the Food and Drug Administration gave its approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for COVID-19. That official backing comes as the Delta variant continues to spread, coronavirus case rates are climbing again in many counties, and third doses of vaccines have been made available to immunocompromised people. Hopefully, all of those factors will encourage more Americans to get their first round of vaccination shots. But if not, Krispy Kreme has once again figured out a way to sweeten the deal.

Back in March, the doughnut and coffee chain announced a generous incentive for getting vaccinated: one free Original Glazed doughnut every single day if you show your vaccination card, no purchase necessary. Since then, Krispy Kreme says it has given away over 2.5 million free doughnuts (meaning that, clearly, not enough people are taking advantage of this promotion). But today, they announced they're doubling down on that offer for one whole week.

From August 30 through September 5 anyone who has received at least one dose of the available COVID-19 vaccines can show their card at Krispy Kreme locations nationwide and receive two free Original Glazed doughnuts. Krispy Kreme is calling this their "Show Your Heart" campaign, and to celebrate they've also included a new heart-shaped Original Glazed doughnut in the weeklong offer.

"We all hoped we'd be near the end of this pandemic by now. We're not. So, please consider getting vaccinated if you've not done so already. And then enjoy and share two amazing doughnuts with our heartfelt thanks," Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena said in a statement. The brand also assures us that the "one free doughnut" vaccination promotion will continue through the end of 2021.

Offering food, drinks, and other perks for vaccinated people has become commonplace in certain areas of the U.S. after vaccination rates have failed to meet or exceed projections, with restaurant groups and breweries jumping on board. States like New Jersey and Connecticut even teamed up with local bars to offer free beer. But often, Americans who did their due diligence early have been exempt from such reactionary giveaways, making the ongoing Krispy Kreme offer all the more unusual and enticing.

According to the New York Times as of this writing, 60% of all eligible Americans (ages 12 and older) are fully vaccinated.
