How much does the rainbow six siege battle pass cost

the idea of this post is to help you understand the different ways of getting the battle passes and how much they each cost and include:

TLDR at the end

basic information (assuming no price changes):

  • 1200 credits = $10 (when buying larger amounts you can get some extra credits but to keep things simple that won't be taken into account)
  • Battle pass cost 1200 credits / $10
  • each battle pass gives you 600 credits back
  • skipping a tier currently cost 120 credits
  • will not include the ash chilled bundle, Valkyre byte set and MPX exotic weapon skin in the price breakdown because these items have no price other than showing off / skin collectors

Let us start by buying each battle pass on its own when it comes out:

  • if you DON´T have any r6 credits:
    • $10 for the first one and $5 for the next 3 (1200 r6 credits for the first one and you get back 600 so you only need to buy 600 for the next one)
    • total price = $25
  • If you have at least 600 credits:
    • $5 for each
    • total price = $20

Base year pass ($30):

  • 4 Battle pass tokens = 1200 each
    • 4800 credits = $40
    • if you complete all BP you get 2400 credits to spend on whatever you want = $20
    • Ash chilled bundle
    • total content worth = $60

Premium year pass ($60*):

*I've got the price from Coreos video but he had the regular pass price wrong so I'm not sure if this one is also wrong but if it is I will change it tomorrow when I can check the store

  • 4 Battle pass tokens = 1200 each
    • 4800 credits = $40
    • if you complete all BP you get 2400 credits to spend on whatever you want = $20
    • 20 levels per battle pass (120 credits each) = $80
      • 80 levels total x 120 credits = 9600 credits
  • ash chilled bundle
  • valkyrie byte set
  • MPX exotic skin
    • total content worth = $140

conclusion: if you are short on money or only care about the Battle pass buying them separately is the best option. If you want 2400 credits to spend on whatever you want and you don't mind waiting until you finish all battle passes the regular year pass is worth it, unless you want the MPX and Valkyre skins the premium year pass is not really worth the money especially considering that the battle pass will last the entire season instead of finishing 3 to 4 weeks before the new season launch so you will have more time to complete it.

for reference with 2400 credits you can get:

  • 1 elite skin (1800) and 600 leftover
  • 8 Pro league weapon skins no charm or uniform (300 each)
  • 4 pro league weapon skin + charm bundles (600 each)
  • 5 pro league charm (480 each (absolute rip off IMHO))
  • 1 pro league full set (1680) and 720 leftover
  • 3 more battle pass next year
  • 2 seasonal skin bundles (universal skin, charm and attachment skin)

TLDR: buying them one by one is cheaper and the basic year pass is the best money/content
