I’d gotten myself the Xfinity TV cable box and X1 entertainment package, so we were ready and excited to get the show on the road.

4. Wait till the LED indicator on the top of the remote becomes green. However, for older black models using a red LED only, you can lift your finger once the light turns red.
5. Enter the programming code now using the Numpad on your remote.
6. If the TV recognizes the code, the green (or red) light flashes twice.

Programming Xfinity Remotes (XR11 voice) with Setup Button

Despite being a voice remote, XR11 does not support voice commands to initiate programming. Instead, it relies on the good old-fashioned Setup button.

Steps to follow for XR16 remote

1. Press and hold down the Microphone/Voice button on your remote and say – Program remote.
2. You should see a screen on your TV prompting your confirmation to use the remote to control your TV power and volume. Select ‘Yes’ without a worry.

Alternatively, you can initiate the programming manually if the voice commands feature malfunctions.

Just press A on your remote and navigate to “Remote Setup” on your TV.

Steps to follow for XR15 remote

1. Press and hold down the Xfinity and the Mute button simultaneously on your remote for five seconds. The LED indicator should turn green from red.
