Vintage 1971 Daher Decorated Ware Designed By DAHER Long Island N.Y. Made In England. The bowl is 10.25” in diameter and approx. 1.25” deep. This bowl is printed with a dense floral design in oranges, rusts, and greens, outline with gold metallic ink. The bowl is scalloped, with 8 segments. The bottom is printed with the Daher logo, and c-1971 Designed by Daher, Long Island, N.Y. 11101, made in England, Patent Pending. At some point it became Regd. Des. 951942.
A bit of history: Daher manufactured tins throughout the twentieth century, in innumerable styles and designs. While based in Long Island, New York, Daher manufactured tins in both Holland and in England. Daher produced kitchen tins, make-up tins, candy tins, and gift tins for dozens of different companies looking for sturdy decorative containers for their products. Daher's most recognizable tins are decorated with detailed floral and geometric designs, rich in color, and often including metallic inks and raised or embossed relief. In addition to tin boxes, Daher also produced trays, plates, plaques, and other assorted tin ware for practical and decorative use.

The Tin Box Company, located on Long Island, NY, began operations in 1952 as Daher limited, manufacturing all tins in England. In 1980 the company name was changed to The Tin Box Company of America, Inc and all manufacturing was moved to Hong Kong. Due to the growth and demand of their quality tins, they set up operations in Hong Kong and China seven years later. As a result of their expansion, they are able to work more closely with their factories and provide the highest quality tins.
