A vacation to Disney World doesn’t come cheap. Between flights and park passes, accommodations and shopping, you’re bound to spend a chunk of change on your getaway. People love staying at Disney resorts. But by and large, they’re famously overpriced. So if you’re looking to save money, one of the easiest ways to do it is to opt for a hotel that’s affordable — but still an awesome place to hang out with your family.

Read on to check out the best affordable hotels near Disney World. At $200 and under, they may not sound like everybody’s version of affordable. Nonetheless, when it can cost thousands of dollars a week to stay at a Disney resort, they’ll save you a bunch of money. And because of their great amenities and locations, we’d still recommend any of them in a heartbeat!

1. Blue Heron Beach Resort

• Prices: $149 to $179, booked six months in advance

If you want a budget-friendly hotel that’s located within a mile of Disney World, you’ll want to check out the Blue Heron Beach Resort. Though it has more limited service than other, pricier hotels, the Blue Heron has plenty of tempting amenities. For one thing, each suite includes a fully-equipped kitchen, which can help you save money on meals. You can enjoy the hotel’s two swimming pools, kiddie pool, and its dock on Lake Bryan, where you can go boating or jet skiing. The hotel also offers free shuttle service to Epcot’s Ticket and Transportation Center, which serves as a major transportation hub as you make your way around Disney World. 

2. Fairfield Inn & Suites Lake Buena Vista

• Prices: $120 to $150 per night, booked six months in advance

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Lake Buena Vista offers budget-friendly accommodations close to Disney Springs and Disney World. The hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast every day — which can save you a lot of money — plus a complimentary shuttle to Epcot. You can choose a Family Suite with bunk beds (and a PlayStation 3 gaming system). Plus, you can relax by the outdoor pool when you aren’t exploring the theme parks. 

3. Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Disney Springs

• Prices: $180 to $220 per night, booked six months in advance

The Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is an Official Walt Disney World hotel — but it doesn’t have the high price tag you’d expect! It’s within walking distance of Disney Springs via the Pedestrian Skybridge and hosts a Disney character breakfast every Sunday. The hotel also has a luxurious float lagoon pool and a kids’ splash area. You can relax in a private poolside cabana, take advantage of a babysitting service, and stay in a one or two-bedroom suite that’s perfectly set up for a family vacation. Staying at the resort also gets you free transportation to Disney theme parks. 

4. Holiday Inn Resort Orlando-Lake Buena Vista

• Prices: $125 to $200, booked six months in advance

The Holiday Inn Resort at Orlando-Lake Buena Vista is just outside Downtown Disney and just a mile from the Disney World theme parks. You can take advantage of seasonal poolside activities, like dive-in movies. Your kids will want to hang out on the Splash Pad or at the Cyber Arcade. Another kid-friendly perk? Kids eat free at the Applebee’s restaurant onsite, which offers the kind of American cuisine that satisfies even picky eaters. (You can order room service, too!) You can also enjoy an on-site movie theater that plays feature-length films rated G or PG. Plus, the hotel also offers shuttle service to the theme parks.

5. Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

• Prices: $130 to $200 per night, booked six months in advance

Prices vary at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa, but you can find great rates if you book in advance. The hotel is just a mile from Disney Springs, and close the Disney World theme parks. (Plus, the hotel offers a shuttle service to take you everywhere you want to go.) You can book a suite that includes its own washer and dryer, a major plus if you prefer to pack light. You’ll also have your own kitchen, which means that you can save money by cooking some of your own meals. As for entertainment, families love the pirate-themed plunge pool and the on-site restaurants, including a Pizza Hut Express. 

6. Orlando World Center Marriott

• Prices: $170 to $280 per night, booked six months in advance

Rates at the Orlando World Center Marriott can range from very budget-friendly to pretty pricey, depending on the dates you plan to travel. But we’d recommend checking it out if you want to stay close to Disney theme parks. The Falls Pool Oasis features two 200-foot water slides, a 90-foot speed slide, a children’s splash park, and nightly laser shows. You can take golf lessons or enjoy a round at the hotel’s golf course, too. You can also eat at your choice of 10 restaurants and lounges. Or, you can kick back with a massage or another space service. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to Disney World. 

7. Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek

• Prices: $180 to $230 per night, booked six months in advance

Prices also vary at the Wyndham Grand Orlando, but this hotel is a steal if you can find a room at or below the $200 mark. It’s an official Walt Disney World Good Neighbor hotel, which means that it offers a great value, a convenient location, and high standards of service for travelers visiting Disney World. The hotel is actually located within Disney World gates and on 500 acres of woodland. The Wyndham also offers a wide range of guest rooms — including some suites and some with bunk beds! The hotel also offers transportation to Disney World theme parks.
