Caribsea bio magnet clarifier safe for fish

So I just added a 20lb bag of sand to the mantis tank. And of course everything is plumbed in together, so, it looks like my display will be fogged up for the next couple of hours. No big deal, sure everything will be just fine.

The Fiji Pink Carib Sea Aragonite came with a little pack labeled as Bio Magnet Clarifier. I did a quick google search and I can't find it is reef safe. It's made to put a positive charge into your waters ions (don't ask me, I'm not a Dr.) but I just want to know if it's OK for inverts, corals, rocks, pods, pretty much EVERYTHING before I use it. Usually my motto is is that if it's questionable, the answer is "no." Anybody have any experience?

I had a gravel fish tank and recently added some African cichlids. I realized that sand was better than gravel for cichlids so I bought some sand and replaced the gravel. I made a mistake of not rinsing out the sand and now my tank has been cloudy for 12 hours. The sand came with some bio magnet clarifier. I want to use it but I want to know if it is safe to use. And if I should take my cichlids out of the water before putting it in?

If your filtration is good your water should clear. I dont know about bio magnet clarified I've never heard of it but if it were my tank and my fish I'd let the filtrarion do its thing and not risk my fish buddies.

Just do a big water change. It’ll clear right up.

It probably is, but I never use it. Rinse and let it settle. It'll clear up.

I’m wondering the same thing . About to do the switch tomorrow. I’m not using it because my cichlid mix substrate says to not add life stock for 20 mins after you use it and I’m doing it carefully and slowly with my fish still in the tank. Someone said they did it like that just by taking a cup and pouring it while under water close to bottom slowly but surely . This oughtta be fun

i think it's a croc of ####. Probably wont hurt anything in your tank. I've gotten about two bags of that sand in my lifetime with those little bags inside. It did nothing for my tank.

Totally lacking any semblance of scientific rigor, but easy to duplicate and mildly amusing: I put 1 bag of gravel, and 1 packet of this junk, in a 12ga tank. Two days later I transfered about .5lbs of LR w/ a turbo snail on it. Water parameters matched the tank I pulled the snail from, and I used a drip acclimatization anyway. The snail huddled down on the little chunk of LR and didn't move an inch over the next three days. It was pulled in tight. I moved the snail/rock back at that point and it was charging around acting like a snail within 2 hours.

That's probably an OD but you can't prove it by their instructions. I'll pass.

The filter media, therefore, repels these particles, and water can remain continually cloudy. Bio Magnet imparts a positive electrical charge as a bacterial attractant. This unique formula quickly seeks out and encapsulates the suspended particles, enabling the positively charged particles to be drawn to the filter. Particles caught in the filter are broken down by bacteria, and suspended bacteria are re positioned onto strata where they are more efficient. The result? A Crystal clear water fast...and a better biological filter!

This Unique product not only clears sediment clouding ( from gravel vacuuming for example) but it also removes algae and bacterial blooms as well. This flocculent forms a bio-magnetic coating around suspended waste particles and bacteria, and repositions them where they can become a more effective biological filter. Directions;

Clean ock, glass and filters before using Bio-Magnet clarifier . For cloudy water, add 1 capful per 20 gallon. Add the dose to a jar of aquarium water first, mix then add slowly to a jar of aquarium water. Water should be clear in 1-2 hours time. Dose may be repeat once per day if necessary. Do no dose more than twice in 24 hours. Bio-magnet can be used every two weeks as part of a regular clarifying / Biological positioning regimen. Shake well before use

Customers is advise to check with the courier company with the tracking number provided for exact detail.

3) Small parcel – local shipment within Malaysia

For smaller items, in order to helps our customer save on the shipping charges, we offer local registered article postage by Airpak Express . A tracking number will also be provided to the customer to enable them to track their own parcel.
