I need to replace my taillight and quad is in storage. Can't find a p/n other than the can am number and I cant cross it to an off the shelf replacement. Does anyone have the number for a replacement taillight on the rene? My dealer is 40 miles away, would like to get one at autozone or such if possible.

For $24.00 dollars you can purchase the EuroTailight, it looks alot nicer then factory and comes with the bulb inside. I also purchased a spare bulb, on the bulb it say's HELLA 12v HD P21/5W E1 2GA, that's what it say's on my spare.

Thanks crew and outty3... will go pick up an 1157, think I have one in the tool box in fact. Quad is a couple miles up the road in a storage unit so it is a pain in the butt to check something easy.

Thanks for asking Crewdog, Back is doing better. Actually found out later that I had a hairline fracture in L1 (found later during a re-xray/mri), but all is good now. Still a little tender if I move to quick a certain way, but did go ride at Indian Ridge 2 weeks ago? and stuck to the easy and med trails....did ok. Gonna go back out next week I think maybe to pineville. Still going to take it easy for a while so I don't screw up the opportunity to go to Carolina Adventure World this fall when it cools down.

Glad to hear your doing okay. Indian Ridge is probably my favorite trailhead. Pinnacle is definately my least favorite. We rode almost every trail at Indian Ridge last year and they were all nice. Even the black trails weren't causing the pucker factor like at the rockhouse. My hate for pinnacle is it's wide open and DUSTY!!! the black trails there are like the blue ones at the rockhouse. Indian ridge is where it's at...fast, tight, in the woods most of the time. I wish it was a little closer...about 10 hours for me.

It was either Bike Bandit or Babbit's online, i forget which one i ordered it from. The EURO Tailight is more rounded on the edges then the boxy look of the Factory.

i just bought some 1157 bulbs that are LED style, but when I plug them into the tail light socket on my Renegade they dont light up. When I put the stock bulb in it lights right up. Any suggestions?

I just swapped out all the lighting in my new truck to LED. The thing with LED's is, one way works the other way doesn't. Put the bulb in again, if it doesn't light up, flip it over.

LED Bulbs WILL NOT work in the renne
Can am uses a switched ground system with a comon power, Automotive systems use a comon ground with a switched power. LED's are diodes and the power MUST flow the right direction Incandesant lights do not need this. As the renne uses a comon power and not 2 seperate powers the direction flow can not be corect with a standard off the shelf LED you would need to rewire the bulb to allow the correct flow (not worth the effort in my opinion) Trust me I had to do all of this research when I resesigned my rear bumper with LED lights built in thought this will be an easy wire job just tap into the wires that are there. NOT!!!!
After several hours of scratching my head and looking at the wireing schematics I saw how they ran the power.

Sorry the off the shelf LED's will not work.
