We’re proud to offer our coverage to federal employees and retirees plus eligible retired uniformed service members. Does healthy Louisiana Medicaid cover dental?Effective January 1, 2021, the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) has contracted with DentaQuest and MCNA Dental to provide dental benefits for qualified Medicaid enrollees. These plans are accountable to LDH and the state of Louisiana.
Does Louisiana Medicaid pay for dentures?COVERED SERVICES:
Examination, x-rays (are only covered if in conjunction with the construction of a Medicaid-authorized denture) dentures, denture relines, and denture repairs. Only one complete or partial denture per arch is allowed in an eight-year period. The partial denture must oppose a full denture.
Does Louisiana Medicaid cover root canals for adults?Preventive and diagnostic benefits, including: dental cleanings, exams, x-rays, fluoride, sealants, and more. Therapeutic benefits to treat cavities, gum or tooth pain, or other dental problems including: fillings, extractions, root canals, dental emergencies, and more.
How do I get dental insurance in Louisiana?You can get dental insurance in Louisiana through your employer's health insurance plan. Alternatively, you can purchase health insurance and add dental coverage to your plan, or you can simply purchase a stand alone dental insurance plan.
