First off, I want to start by saying that I DID get a rebate back from Bausch and Lomb for the year's worth of contacts I purchased. My purchase was confirmed fairly quickly and I got my Visa gift card in the mail within a couple weeks. So unlike most people here, I actually had zero issues with the rebate. However, these contacts are awful! They irritate my eyes so bad that I want to rip them out. It's like having an eyelash or something in your eye that you can't get out. I went back to my eye doctor to tell him my issues and he examined me with them on and saw absolutely no issues with the fitting or anything. I figured maybe I had a bad pair, so I switched into new ones.

They felt fine for a few days, but it's like after a little wear, they start losing shape and collecting a film on them which makes things a bit blurry. I clean them as instructed and they still feel very uncomfortable. What's the point of paying for MONTHLY contacts if you actually have to change them every 1-2 WEEKS?? I have since switched to Cooper Vision Bioinfinity Toric and these are MUCH better! It feels like I'm wearing nothing! The only downside is that the Cooper Vision lenses are much more expensive because my astigmatism is pretty bad. Due to me already using my insurance to pay for the Bausch contacts... I had to settle for Cooper lenses that are slightly under my actual prescription. I actually need to be in the Bioinfinity XRs, but I just couldn't afford them at the time. I will definitely sacrifice a small amount of my vision for contacts that don't want to make me rip my eyes out every day!!!!

PSA: anyone who participates in one of the promotional rebate reward programs, the customer service is ridiculous. I mistakenly requested to redeem my rewards at two specific retailers, and when I called to ask if I could cancel those requests and receive a Visa gift card instead, they said they could not do it. My requests had not even been processed, I had not received any gift cards, and had not spent any money, yet they would still not do it. I spent a substantial amount of money on a full year supply of contact lenses, and I would expect the customer service to be better when spending that kind of money. I will not recommend Bausch & Lomb products to anyone, nor will I purchase these products again. Very dissatisfied.

About 4 months ago, I ordered a year's worth of Bausch and Lomb contacts for my son. I was told that I would receive a 250.00 VISA card. Guess what--NO Visa Card. I've spoke to multiple CSRs who keep assuring me that it's "in the mail." NOPE. What a scam! Worse, my son has already had to use antibiotics in his eyes because of the contacts causing issues. I think optometrists were given an incentive to sell these contacts. I'm going to call my optometrist, and every optometrist's office in my area to let them know the rewards program is a SCAM. Someone should start a class action lawsuit.

I started using PreserVision Eye vitamins and had a coupon for $7 off two boxes. I was at CVS and they tried to use the coupon and it wouldn't work. The cashier tried a number of different ways and it wouldn't take off the $7.00 (the vitamins are expensive!). So I wrote to B & L and they sent back saying that they couldn't help me, that coupons are redeemable only at my favorite retailer. Did they even read my letter saying that the $7 wouldn't come off?! I went back and looked at the eye vitamins, and I was able to get a different brand for a significant amount less! B & L you LOST my business and that of my extended family.

Bausch and Lomb Rewards didn't not keep up their end of the bargain. I submitted my Purchase to them twice which is time consuming and received nothing. There was nothing wrong with my submission. I have no problem with their contact lenses.

I bought these through eye doctor, one year's worth. They are awful. Pretty much every day one has to be discarded & a new one used. Every few days one will break away in my eye when being removed leaving parts still in there! I truly think they’re defective. If not, then they need a new formula. Absolute garbage. I will not renew with this brand. Ever.

I really feel comfortable ordering online with this company. The customer service and quality is definitely there so no worries for customers. I will definitely purchase from them again. A great variety of style and colors is offered. Return policy is also good.

Rebate issues - I purchased a year's supply of contact lens and was issued a rebate in the form of a prepaid virtual visa in the amount of $100. This is money you have already paid and not a coupon. It was issued in April 2020 and it expired in 6 months. Which means when I went to use it now (9 months since issue) it was worth $0. I have tried to resolve this issue with B&L and they will not re issue the $100..my $100. To me, this is not a coupon set to expire but a prepaid Visa card that seems very unreasonable to expire to $0 in 6 months and is a very poor policy.

I would seriously rate negative stars if I could; I've used Acuvue Oasys for YEARS and love them, my opt recommended these so against better judgement purchased a year's worth.. BIG MISTAKE. Not only are the contacts literal garbage but the rebate is fake too. Yay! (shocking I know) I purchased the monthlies and after 3/4 days they're already blurring and I constantly need to refocus them, they're extremely straining, drying and irritating after an hour of wear and I have worn my glasses more than ever after purchasing these. That's how annoying they are on your eye.

You will 100% lose brain cells trying to deal with the stupidity that occurs within the customer service department, it's clear you don't even need a G.E.D or IQ higher than 1 to work for them being the only two line I think these reps can process and understand are 1) invalid/missing information, 2) 4-6 weeks/still being processed, the ultimate run around. I really wish I read everyone's reviews on this product prior to purchasing because I would have never switched from my regular brand.

This is absolutely a pyramid scheme between ophthalmologist and the company, all our rebate money is going to the doctors pushing these contacts to people who don't know any better and a trusting the word/advice of the trained "professionals" because any licensed/ethical professional would know these are by far low quality garbage contacts from a company that is not highly recommended by users (as you can see below) & not going to stick to the "rebate" that the provider is throwing in as a form of persuasion (almost positive they still get their cut for making the sales though... PYRAMID SCHEME). Stick to your normal brand & do not be roped in by the rebate speech, you will not actually get it and if you do it will only take a minimum of 10 years to actually get it & won't be for the dollar amount you're promised.

I was browsing for these lenses as I need to re-order them and I can’t believe all the negative reviews. So I decided to leave my experience. I have worn contacts for over 20 years. I have tried practically most brands including dailies and RGP. I’ve used B&L soft lenses (first contacts), Acuvue oasys (biweekly and daily moist), AirOptix, Biofinity, Clariti, Proclear, Optimum, and Fluoroperm. Now the Ultras. RGP were the ones with the best vision, crystal clear. However, comfort was always a challenge, specially when working out. Even with the plasma coating. With the Ultra lenses I can see as clear as with the Fluoroperm (with plasma coating) but better comfort. I highly recommend the B&L Ultra for Astigmatism. I’m not sure about the rebates or customer service as I got an instant rebate at costco and haven’t reach out to B&L, but these contacts are the best for my eyes!

What are the disadvantages of multifocal contact lenses?

Multifocal contact lenses offer a lot of performance ability, but may also be: More difficult to adjust to due to a different viewing experience. Accompanied by nighttime glare and hazy or shadowy vision during the adjustment period. More expensive because of the increased complexity in design.

Do multifocal contacts work for astigmatism?

These contact lenses can accommodate multiple different prescriptions in a single lens so that the wearer can focus clearly on objects at a wide range of distances, whether they are reading or driving. There are even multifocal contact lenses that will also correct astigmatism.

What is the difference between multifocal and astigmatism?

Unlike standard or “monofocal” implant lenses which provide either distance or near vision, but not both, multifocal lenses allow you to see clearly at near, middle, and far distances. Toric lenses correct astigmatism, which is due to an uneven curve in your cornea or lens, or an abnormal shape of the eyeball itself.

How long can you wear Bausch and Lomb Ultra?

Bausch + Lomb ULTRA contact lenses are approved for daily wear or extended wear up to 6 nights and 7 days with a monthly replacement schedule.
