an abyss filled with thousands and thousand of clones of Kathy Bates with sledge hammers and Dr. Quinn Medicine Women. They will all stand in line, each waiting for their chance to break every bone in your body and then heal you in turn. And in the background I'll be playing Fox News Channel. Try me. And don't even think to ask Jesus for mercy, he hasn't liked you since you killed off Ned Stark. (The show didn't help you any either, he always had a soft spot for Boromir. Seriously,
Boromir has to die again?) 12/22/12

You gave us a great Epic and a Big World Characters we Love naturally and sometimes in a really wired way.. We like to see more of them and of the world you created amazingly ,but that's where comes prequels and spin off books ...unless you're going to destroy the world of Ice and Fire all by the end of the series ...that'd be..... well, expected :) Please my majesty , take all the time you want and make it Seven...make it Legend-you already did it-ary Mohammed Arabey

6/2/19 - The cover that was originally shown, has now been removed and the "shadow" beige book cover is back up. They also removed the 2019; then the 2020 publication dates. GR must now realize that
these books will not happen any time soon. One reviewer said that GRRM doesn't owe us anything and he can do what he wants. Not true, sir. He started this shit and expected everyone to follow along. I'm just witnessing the end of the final season of the TV show, and unfortunately due to both the too-short number of episodes, and the series-writers not being very capable of filling the dots of character-consistencies, character-developments and organic plot-developments from earlier seasons (or existing book-storylines), looks like the finishing is not going to be truly as it should've been, rather a bit awkward in too-rushed too-hamfisted not-earned-in-any-way by the end. hi Mr Martin, just checking in. how's the writing going? no pressure, take your time. i'm totally fine waiting 100000 years. ~~~ My two hopes for this finale: 1) It makes a teaspoon more of sense than the rushed and out-of-character mess that was season eight. 2) George actually lives to finish it. He began writing very young, selling monster stories to other neighborhood children for pennies, dramatic readings included. Later he became a comic book fan and collector in high school, and began to write fiction for comic fanzines (amateur fan magazines). Martin's first professional sale was made in 1970 at age 21: "The Hero," sold to Galaxy, published in February, 1971 issue. Other sales followed. In
1970 Martin received a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to complete a M.S. in Journalism in 1971, also from Northwestern. As a conscientious objector, Martin did alternative service 1972-1974 with VISTA, attached to Cook County Legal Assistance Foundation. He also directed chess tournaments for the Continental Chess Association from 1973-1976, and was a Journalism instructor at Clarke College, Dubuque, Iowa, from

A Feast for Crows (2005). A Dance with Dragons (2011). The Winds of Winter (forthcoming). A Dream of Spring (planned). Are there 5 or 7 books in Game of Thrones?Although there are 5 Game of Thrones books published, author George R.R. Martin intends for there to be 7 by the time the series is finished. He's been working on the sixth book, The Winds of Winter, for literally a decade, and wondering when he finally might finish is a popular topic of speculation among fans.
Is winds of winter the last book? So, will this be the last GOT book installment? No! Even though there was a very long gap between the last book and this one, Martin still plans on this being the penultimate novel, with the series conclusion titled, A Dream of Spring.
Does Season 7 of Game of Thrones follow the book? The following is a list of differences between Season 7 of the TV show Game of Thrones and the A Song of Ice and Fire novels. While all the plotlines in the show are ahead of the point the novels reached, there are still many differences between the episodes and the material source.
