Thank you in advance for any advice you have. For about 3 months my 2012 Grand Caravan had given me the common "no fuse" alert on my dash, with absolutely no other problems. And then a parasitic battery drain problem developed, combined with different HVAC telltale lights remaining on and/or flickering after completely shutting down my vehicle. If I let the car sit like this for more than about 12 hours, my battery was drained. After reading posts here (thanks everyone!), I checked all of my fuses, engine grounds, swapped in a new battery, and finally replaced my vehicle tipm with a matching tipm from a you-pull junkyard town & country: matching year, engine, and tipm model number. As soon as I swapped in the new tipm, with a full reset (first a hard reset by clamping together the + and - battery cables for 24 hours. Followed by several soft resets opening and closing the driver door, key turned to on, but not starting the engine, waiting 15 seconds for final tone, and then removing key before putting it in again to start the car), the replacement used tipm is recognized and ALMOST all systems are working perfectly, and the battery drain problem is resolved. There are two remaining problems, one extremely minor, and one that I'm uncertain about. Minor problem: when I open the doors, the interior lights do not come on automatically. I can turn these on manually, and this is perfectly fine with me. No big deal, though just to be sure I checked (including swapping around) ALL of the tipm fuses, and they are all fine, and we'll seated. The other problem is that I still have the "no fuse" message on my dash. My concern is that this is a symptom that my replacement tipm is going to go bad, or that all along there was some other problem, with the battery drain being a tipm issue, but the no fuse message being about something else (maybe faulty wiring before or after the tipm?) that I need to worry about. My hope is that this is not something I need to go crazy with, and as long as everything is working correctly (except the unimportant automatic interior lights thing), everything is fine. To cover my bases I've popped up my IOD fuse multiple times, and each time the expected systems (radio, etc) stop working, and when popped back down, all of these same systems return to working fine. I have had my new battery checked at a local AutoZone. I have rechecked all grounds. Checked all fuses again, including swapping them around, and replacing my visually fine IOD fuse with a new fuse to get absolutely sure. I have pulled the replacement tipm and cleaned the connectors/plugs (on both the tipm side, and the sockets that connect into the bottom of the tipm) with contact cleaner. Visually checked battery cables, and all wiring connected to the tipm. After reconnecting the replacement tipm, again performed hard and soft resets. Still that dang "no fuse" message, with no actual problems. As I mentioned: my hope is that this is something I can basically ignore. I can cycle right past the "no fuse" to get all I'd my odometer functions back But I don't want to either get stuck somewhere (inconvenient), or ignore something that could seriously injure my vehicle. What do you all think? Am I missing something urgent and/ or necessary? Should I have a dealership program the replacement tipm (ugh, another $150...)? Can I just start driving?
