I just want to know fine it's worth getting a BOV for my A4. 10-15-2008, 08:36 PMJoin Date: Apr 2008 Location: Posts: 548 worth is in the eye of the beholder.....personally spending 400 bones for a product that makes ur car sound.....cooler? it doesn;t make much sense to me....but dropping 200 on a test pipe to make ur car gain 15 hp and much needed torque.....again, in my opinion thats worth right there the carbonio intake adds little to no power to ur car and people seem to go nuts for them.... theres other things that stretch your dollar so much further the way i see it 10-16-2008, 10:07 AMJoin Date: Aug 2008 Location: mississippi Posts: 282 Quote: Originally Posted by dmfan016 but

Many newer turbo designs even incorporate one into the compressor housing. If you're not sure if you have the proper equipment or if it's working properly, ask us.
Do blow off valves increase HP?Does The Blow off Valve Increase HP? The blow off valve does not increase performance by adding horsepower but it does give you an efficient turbo performance. BOV is one of the cheapest performance modes for a turbocharged system.
Is a blowPerformance-wise, BOVs can have a slight negative affect in applications such as drifting. When you're on and off the throttle all the time, releasing all the charged air can hurt throttle response and give some lag. But as a general rule, you're better off having one.
What does a blowA blowoff valve (also called dump valve or compressor bypass valve) is a pressure release system present in most petrol turbocharged engines. Blowoff valves are used to reduce pressure in the intake system as the throttle is closed, thus preventing compressor surge.
