Replacement of the light bulbs is not an overly complex job, but there are a few unique ways in which the light bulbs are mounted within the car. In this article, I'll go over the steps required to replace the headlight and taillight bulbs on your C5 Audi A6. Note that this article does not cover the replacement of the front fog lamps as our project car was not equipped with them.

Keep in mind that you will have to remove the headlight assemblies on your Audi A6 to access the front headlight bulbs. See our article on Headlight Assembly Replacement for more information. I've been told it is possible to replace the bulbs without removing the headlight assemblies, but I could not figure out a way to do this easily.
