#2 6 years ago You could have 1 of 2 engines. The 5.3 liter has the intake air coming directly from the front, and the crk sensor is behind the starter. If you have the 5.7L vortec, intake/throttle body looks more like a conventional carburetor and has a distributor, and the crk sensor is behind the harmonic balancer. #3 Shine631 6 years ago Thank you. But unfortunately, I changed both the camshaft and crankshaft sensor, and my truck still wont start. The engine turns over and over but wont start. Similar to as if it was out of gas, but the fuel is working and getting to the engine. I replaced the distributor and still the same. I was driving, when the truck just shut of in the middle of the road. Smh.
