I have a 2015 volkswagen passat tsi, the fob for locking / unlocking the car has stopped working. The led on the fob still illuminates. I tried replacing the coil cell battery (cr2032) on the fob, but the issue persists.
I only have the one remote, but I do have a frequency analyzer. the remote typically broadcasts at 314-315 MHz, which it still does, before, and after changing the battery.

I tried resetting the key fob, by locking the car. Press and hold the lock or unlock button for one second. Using the master key, unlock and relock your Volkswagen. Your key fob should reset itself.
Perhaps it is a fuse? or something else?
Any insight would be appreciated. I'm also wondering if there is a fuse associated with this device.
Howdy, so today I went to unlock my car with my fob and for the life of me could not get it to unlock. They will lock, alarm chirps, and alarm light on the door flashes, but they won't unlock. The hatch release still works as well. Sometimes when I lock it the light for the alarm flashes, but at different speeds and some times not at all. Thoughts?

The first thing to fail on mine when the battery was low was the door locks. Actually just the unlocking - locking still worked. Your battery is probably low. Replace it yourself - dealers charge way too much.

I say change the battery anyway, like FPP when my battery died everything worked except unlock. I know you reprogrammed and all but if the battery is dying then it will just happen again. Batteries are cheap...

That is usually caused by a low battery in the remote. The car will lock, but not unlock. It is a way of telling you to change the battery by making getting into your car a pain in the ass. haha :thumbsup:
