IP Security
IP Security (IPsec) is a set of protocols that control IP-based network traffic to and from the product.
IPsec provides host-to-host authentication, data integrity, and encryption of network communications.
For products that are connected to the network and have an HP Jetdirect print server, you can configure
IPsec by using the Networking tab in the HP Embedded Web Server.

Typically, you use the same user name and password that you use to sign in to your computer on the

security for the product, touch the

There is no default, if the machine needs a password to get into the EWS it is because someone set a password already. Contact your vendor to ask if they set one. If unknown then a partial clean will need to be performed to wipe the password.

Thanks for quick reply. As you have suggested, how do I do a password reset?

The power of Google compels me. You can get the user guide from HP's support website over here: //h20032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05913551 . You'll be resetting all security and network settings, as per page 42. Really, resetting everything to factory defaults and going from there is altogether a good idea.
Also, save a copy of that PDF. Give it a good, easy to find name. Heck, I'd even save a copy to a flash drive and tape it to the back. In case of network failures or HP deciding to remove old info from their site, you've got all the instructions handy.

Nope, it won't reset as it is asking for ID and Password

Have you tried turning the machine off, then holding down the menu button and starting up the printer. That should reset to all default, which includes no login name or password.

The default password is blank for the administrator. Thats how mine was just now. Found this post then got mad and hit enter and it logged in as administrator haha. This was for a E58650.
