THIS VERSION OF THAT OLD FAVORITE SPIRITUAL 'NEAR THE CROSS'(WHICH SOME NOW CALL, 'IN THE CROSS')IS UNDISPUTABLY A 'CLASSIC'! AND THIS IS A RENDITION THAT 'HAS NEVER' AND 'WILL NEVER' BE SUPRASSED. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A BELIEVER TO LISTEN TO THIS VERSION OF 'NEAR THE CROSS' AND NOT BE...TOUCHED. FOR, IT MOVES THE SPIRIT W- A- Y DOWN ON THE INSIDE. SIMPLY THE BEST...FOR ALL TIMES! On our way to heaven, we need encouragement along the way. Contemporary brings 5 million hits on you tube- gone tomorrow. This large choir makes me happy here on earth. I listen to this on my job...gives performance to my work- try it, buy it. You'll need happy too!

i love this rendition. it is a timeless classic. i was in a choir that sang this song about 20 years ago. the choir im in now loves it too and can't wait too sing it!!
