Tracks or Poles?
Our motorised curtain products come in two varieties – poles and tracks.
Electric curtain poles are perfect if you want to make a statement, as they’re designed to be a prominent feature in the room. Tracks are hidden when the curtains are closed and give a minimal feel when they’re open.
If you have a bay window, electric curtain tracks are perfect. They can be bent by our engineers to create the perfect fit. Electric curtain poles aren’t suitable for bays, but we do have non-motorised versions which can be used.
Quality Engineering
All our electric products are driven by a belt system linked directly to a motor. The motor drives a canvas belt inside the track, which in turn moves the curtains. This simple system is extremely reliable – especially if you buy a model made by a quality manufacturer like Silent Gliss.
Avoid electric curtains that use a separate motor system attached to a pull cord. The cords on these models often slip and can even break, and the tracks are often lower quality to begin with.
We’re so confident our electric curtain track and poles systems are built to last, they come with a 5-year guarantee.
Operation
Our electric tracks and poles can be operated by a switch, remote control, or a timer.
Keep the heat in during winter by setting the curtains to open when the sun comes up and close again at night.

Electric Double Layered Roller Blinds
These double layered roller blinds are similar to traditional roller blinds, but with a modern twist. A layer of fabric is set behind another layer, with a roller mechanism to rotate them. The fabric has transparent and opaque sections, which can be rolled to adjust the level of light that comes through. This product variation is electrically operated for ultimate ease-of-use.

Silent Gliss 7650 - 50mm Electric Curtain Pole - Total Control Operation
The Silent Gliss 7650 Total Control electric pole is a combination of all the above operating systems. The curtain pole is 50mm in diameter and is available in seven different colours. The operation of the pole is by either a switch, timer or remote control. The 7650 system has a manual override so that in the event of a power failure the curtains can be drawn by hand. In addition to the system operation the 7650 electric curtain pole also has a “touch and go” feature which will take over the operation of the curtain if it is ever pulled by hand. The system does not need any special skills to install and is complete with a standard three pin plug and has its own transformer.
The 7650 range replaces the Silent Gliss 6150 range.

The Silent Gliss 7650 Electric Pole with Radio Remote Control is a combination of the 5100 Autoglide RR system and the 50mm Metropole. The 7650 looks like a Metropole and is available in all seven of the colours but has an Autoglide fitted inside the pole which can be operated by either a switch or a radio remote control. Radio remote control handsets are much more reliable than Infra-red and can be operated from a greater distance without the need for accuracy. The design and look is the same as the 50mm Metropole and is available in seven different colours. The 7650 system has a manual override so that in the event of a power failure the curtains can be drawn by hand. In addition to the system operation the 7650 electric curtain pole also has a “touch and go” feature which will take over the operation of the curtain if it is ever pulled by hand. Silent Gliss 5100R - Autoglide Electric Track - Radio Remote Operation
The Silent Gliss 5100 Autoglide Handheld Remote operation is an electric curtain track which in addition to a switch has a handheld transmitter which can be used to open and close the curtains. The transmitter sends a signal to the motor, which has an integrated receiver, telling it to open or close the curtains. Radio control is superior to infra-red as the infra-red signal must be pointed in the direction of the receiver and the receiver must be on display. Radio signals can travel further than infra-red so the radio remote can operate the tracks from further away. The Autoglide Electric Curtain Rail can carry up to 25kg of curtaining and can be bent for bay windows.
The 5100 Autoglide Curtain Rail has a “touch and go” operation which will automatically take over the opening and closing of the curtains when they are pulled by hand. In addition to this, the Autoglide also has a manual override, in the event of a power failure the curtains can be easily operated by hand without the need for any alteration.

Silent Gliss 5100B - Autoglide Electric Track - Basic Switch Operation
The Silent Gliss 5100 Autoglide basic operation is an electric curtain track with a switch operation. The switch is a remote switch meaning it is wireless and communicates with the electric track by radio signal rather than connecting with wires. The Autoglide Electric Curtain Rail can carry up to 25kg of curtaining and can be bent for bay windows.
Although this is the basic version of the Autoglide Electric Curtain Track, there is nothing basic about it. The motor has a built-in radio receiver. The curtains have a “touch and go” operation which will automatically take over the opening and closing of the curtain when the curtains are pulled by hand. In the event of a power failure, the curtains can be easily operated manually without the need for any alteration.
The Silent Gliss 5100 Autoglide electric curtain track is ideal for light to medium weight curtains.
