The key thing that you said in your post is that you're on a ladder.
I feel like most of the people responding or just offering very generalized advice about what works for them, but nothing specifically about "work wear".
My feet and ladders are not friends ... A-frame step ladders have a flat surface for each step, I can tolerate being on them better than an extension ladder with the round rungs. If I'm going to spend any amount of time on a ladder, such as hanging light fixtures, I absolutely have to be wearing work boots with proper support, meaning they are reinforcements in the sole to keep it more rigid for support.
But I comparison, if I'm going to be on flat ground with minimal hazards (no screws nails etc laying around, no moving/lifting heavy objects, etc) sneakers can be more comfortable for some work.
I have a pair of keen work-type boots from more than 5 years ago, they're okay, I did replace the insoles with better ones which was a big improvement.
So one of the questions that you need to ask yourself is how much standing on the ground is the issue and therefore the problem has to do with combination of the boots, insoles and your feet, versus standing on a ladder causing the issue and while it still comes back to the combination of boots and feet but the boot selection then becomes the main focus. Hello Friends
I'm going to be starting to work in a hospital next week, and I'm looking for an extremely comfortable shoe that I can wear for up to 12 hours at time while doing a lot of walking and standing, that won't lead to foot pain. I'm looking for a shoe that looks similar to the Ultraboosts (which I've heard isn't great for longer periods of standing), Adidas Pureboost, Reebok Floatride Run 2.0 etc.
My budget is around $150, and brands that are sold in my country include Nike, Adidas, New Balance and Reebok among others.
Thanks a lot!

I recently got a pair of Zoom pegasus 38 for work (I work 10 hour shifts in a warehouse) and my feet have yet to feel sore. Highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit. A couple years old now, but the most comfortable shoe I own. Can usually catch them on ebay under $75. Adidas Ultraboosts are a quick second.

Anything with React tech tbh

I bought the Vomero 14 for my work shoe. I’m on my feet and running around for photoshoots and carrying equipment. I can vouch of the 14’s but have no idea about the newest version. I would also recommend the Nike ZoomX Invincible Run. It’s the squishiest and most cushiony Nike out there.

Nike free run 2, best for wearing all day (great venting as well as comfort
I’m looking for a Nike “lifestyle” everyday sneaker that’s comfortable than can be worn walking around the city all day.
Adidas has the Ultraboost, which although was originally advertised as a running shoe now advertised as a lifestyle shoe. New Balance has the 990v5. What is Nike’s offering in this category?
I know they have the React, but those seem to be actual running shoes. The silhouette is fairly light and sits below the ankle.
Basically just looking for a comfortable Nike sneaker to wear around the city all day.
Thanks!
Hello Redditors of r/Nike. I work in telecommunication and I’m literally standing for 8 hours a day at a kiosk and my heels have been killing me. Even when I get home, they still sting. I was wondering, what are the most comfortable Nike shoes to wear, that won’t put my heels through any pain, when doing what I’m doing?
Thank you!

Look for a good insert, especially if you are standing all day. I have work boots with barely any cushioning at all but I bought a pair of inserts for like 50$ and it has made all the difference.
level 2
I’ll try that then. I guess that’s a better alternative than buying a whole new pair of shoes. I appreciate it. Thank you.

Nike air presto or air spiridon
level 2
I can’t speak on the spiridons , but the prestos are the most comfortable Nikes, and just shoes in general, I’ve ever put on.

My comfiest Nike shoes are Air Max 98s.

A friend also recommended those. Thank you!

Wear my Free RNs for 8 hour shifts. But I'd recommend either the Lunarglide 9s, Pegasus Turbo, or Epic React
level 1
Epic react, odyssey react, Pegasus 35, Pegasus 35 turbo, exp-x14, zoom fly
level 2
Have to second the epic reacts, been wearing them for about a month now, 8 hour shifts always on my feet, they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I really want to try to get some of the more lifestyle reacts like the 87 or 55 but haven't had a chance yet. I have also heard good things about the Vapor Street reacts but I wasn't feeling their style

Element 87 react. Unreal how comfy they are

I wear Free RN Distance and Free x Metcon. I stand almost 8 hours a day.
