What will my students learn from these fraction word problems?
Students will work through a series of problems which require them to add and subtract fractions to determine their answer, which they will express in its simplest form. The contextualised scenarios will show students that working with fractions is part of everyday life. Some questions will require more than one calculation to find the answer.

This fraction exercise can be used to reinforce skills and give an understanding of the simplifying of answers. It could be used as a group activity, class lesson follow up or provided for students to complete for homework.

This is a level 3 - 4 resource designed to reinforce the adding and subtracting of fractions with
