What happens at a Day Out With Thomas?

Day Out with Thomas is a fun-filled event for families and friends hosted by one of The Biggest Friends of All, Thomas the Tank Engine. Every ticket includes a train ride with a life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine, a real steam engine, as well as access to lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Is there a real life Thomas the train?

According to Time Out, a real-life replica of the beloved train from the children's TV show Thomas The Tank Engine is up and running to take visitors on a trip around Shizuoka prefecture in Japan.

When was the first day out with Thomas?

The merchandising of Thomas with toys and other consumer products began in 1992. The first Day Out With Thomas (DOWT) took place at Green Bay's National Railroad Museum in 1996. From that one event, DOWT has turned into an industry, and an unforeseen financial savior for railway preservation.
