I've always wanted a spare tire kit...but, as we all know, they are not so plentiful now. But, doable. On the '19 A-Spec I owned, I put together
with dealer's help, all the items needed to mount the tire, store the tools, etc.
Part #: 06421-TJB-A50 is the Kit with all goodies except the rubber tire. They are always separate. As of now, this "Kit" is not in stock and est. del.
is unknown. Same with Part #: 06421-TJB-A00....same issue.
BUT...the separate parts that are part of the kits are orderable. Yes, after much digging and working with my Serv/Parts Director, we found that the
ind. parts are avail. except 2 items, that we don't know what they are, but, not truly needed to make the kit work. He ordered all the pieces. He also
said, once all parts are in, they will see IF they are all there for what's needed and if it will fit, etc, etc. From what I've researched I believe it will, just as
the, I'm sure same
parts/pieces as my '19 RDX, worked out with no issues.
The price will come out maybe slightly more than the price of the "Kit"...but, we don't know yet. I do get a discount, always have, so, the price will be fine. I will have
all the parts put in a box, and placed in the back, so when I finally take delivery, I will take it home and put it together.
So, it is doable and I wanted to let everyone here...that if interested, to know that. I'm also waiting on wheels/tires and
clear bra to be finished up. No rush.
The A-Spec/Adv I'm buying is the only one they have or are getting for awhile. It's parked out back, locked up and keys put away in my New Car Mgr's desk. No one gets to
rummage through it...LOL...or drive it, of course!
